The Titan Impact Slider is engineered for the largest openings South Florida can build — up to thirty feet wide and twelve feet tall — while meeting the full High-Velocity Hurricane Zone requirements of the Florida Building Code.
The Titan Impact Slider is approved across a wide envelope of configurations, but two design choices — pocket vs. non-pocket and glass type + reinforcement level — determine everything else. Track count is a screen decision only.
Two tracks or three tracks have no effect on design pressure, max size, or performance. Choose track count based only on whether the opening requires a screen.
Panels that disappear into a wall cavity are engineered under a separate load path. Non-pocketed doors access the full DP capacity chart; pocketed doors are capped.
Per NOA drawing 26-05F sheets 2 and 2.1: "POCKET DOORS ARE LIMITED TO MAX. PANEL AREA OF 40 SQ. FT. MAX. DESIGN LOAD OF ±70.0 PSF."
Changed July 2026: the words “three (3) track and” were struck from this note. Three-track units are no longer capped at 40 sq. ft. The limit now applies to pocket doors only.
The 40 sq. ft. cap reflects the actual pocketed unit ETI built and tested — it is a firm limit, confirmed by engineering. Non-pocketed configurations may be built to the full tested panel size.
A three-step path from the jobsite opening to the right specification. Work through each question in order.
Just need sizes to quote? The Quoting Rules page gives allowable sizes by glass type and reinforcement level on one screen. This guide is the full reference.
All Titan Sliding Glass Door glass makeups are 9/16″ overall laminated — two panes of ¼″ heat-strengthened glass bonded by a .090″ interlayer. Two interlayer options are available: SentryGlas (Glass Type A) for premium performance or Saflex PVB (Glass Type D) for standard applications. The approval also covers Types B and C, which ETI does not stock — they are emergency makeups only and are omitted here on purpose.

All glass types use a minimum 7/8″ glass bite and are glazed with Dowsil 995 silicone. Lites wider than 36″ require EPDM setting blocks at ¼ points.
Design pressure is determined by three variables working together: glass type, reinforcement level, and the combination of average panel width & door frame height. Cross-reference all three on the tables below.
Average Panel Width = Door Frame Width ÷ Number of Panels. This is the value used for lookup — not the physical panel width. Example: a 243″ OXXO frame has an average panel width of 60¾″ (243 ÷ 4).
The width × height tables are an area envelope: capacity tracks panel square footage (avg. panel width × door height), not width and height independently. Approximate area cap by design pressure: +80 / −130 ≈ 33 sq ft · ±70 ≈ 40 sq ft · ±65 ≈ 41 sq ft · ±50 = 60.75 sq ft. Hard bounds inside the envelope: width ≤ 72″, height ≤ 144″. So at ±50 a panel can be drawn as 72″ × 120″ or 60¾″ × 144″ — same envelope, both certified.

Earlier revisions carried a note limiting Ext. (+) loads to 50.0 PSF where water infiltration resistance was required. That note was removed in the July 2026 revision. Per the engineer of record it only ever applied to the 60¾″ × 144″ panel, and it is now built into the charts.
Status: Engineering has confirmed doors may be built to the maximum tested panel size in any configuration. ETI tested and passed +80 PSF positive; the DP tables apply as shown.
